DIY Christmas Ornaments

Christmas is just around the corner and I was feeling artsy this year so I decorated a few ornaments for my tree while introducing the new DIY category on RavensStyleHaven.com! These ornaments were super easy to make and didn't take a lot of time. I purchased these plastic ornaments from Michael's a few days ago and they were on sale for 50 cents! Now that I've seen the finished product I wish I would've gotten more. Any who-- I bought gold, silver and pink glitter (Wal-Mart), gold glitter stickers (Hobby Lobby), mod-podge (Hobby Lobby) and a cosmetic wedge (beauty store) to apply the glitter.

  1. The first ornament was inspired by my love for the color gold. I spray painted the ornament with short cut metallic gold paint and before it dried I put gold glitter towards the top. IMG_7100
  2. The second ornament is for my mom and her favorite color is pink. I got this multi-color sequin pack from Dollar Tree for only $1! YASSS. I opened the ornament mixed the sequin together along with the pink glitter and gave it a shake. I thought it needed more "flare" so I added tinsel from my tree around the top and found these rhinestone adhesives from my craft collection.IMG_7109
  3. The last ornament was spray painted with red paint. Then I mixed silver and gold  glitter for a mixed metal effect and applied mod-podged on the ornament before I sprinkled on the glitter.IMG_7107
