Chicago Style

Chicago is a very interesting city. The people. The scenery. The culture. Everything is like nothing I've never experienced before. I actually miss the cold weather because it is hot in South Carolina right now. . . and yall know how I feel about warm weather. *inserts eye roll* Nonetheless, my trip to Chicago was amazing!!! I was able to experience SO much in a four day weekend and I can't wait to go back. If you ever decide to visit here are some things to check out:

Food: Lou's Pizza, YOLK, Grand Luxe Cafe, Garret's Popcorn

Shopping: The Magnificent Mile, River North, State Street

Attractions: Skydeck Chicago, Chicago Riverwalk, The Bean

I'm a huge fan of mixing prints and patterns, I think it adds a certain level of character to any look. Here I wore a button down gingham print top from Old Navy ($8), a leopard print coat from Love Culture ($20), black skinnies from Forever 21 ($10) and black boots from H&M ($25). I love how the look came together, one tip about mixing prints is finding a dominate color to build your prints on. Mine was black; there's black in my top, black in my outerwear and I balanced out the prints by wearing black bottoms.
